Backup and Restore

boxedUC is designed to offer the maximum level of reliability and security for an on-premise / single-box installation, so backup and restore mechanism are critical processes.

Backup:

Internal storage is designed to physically separate storage dedicated to online data (i.e. mailboxes, Sharepoint documents) from storage dedicated to local backup data.

Backup operations are performed by Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager. Backup data is available at any time for the customer who can copy it on other external storage.

Restore:

Restore processes can be managed remotely by boxedUC staff or it can require an on-site activity performed by a specialized technical professional.

Depending on the failure type, there are different restore processes to:

Restore data.
Restore appliance configuration.
Fix hardware failures.
