One of boxedUC's main features is the design of the appliance. By leveraging the power of brand new servers and virtualization tools, our engineering teamcreated a single-box solution for Unified Communications with the same approach used for standard enterprise deployments.
The objectives of the projects have been to create an environment which include several key characteristics such as:

As result, the keyfeatures of all boxedUC modelsinclude:
- Plug-n-play networking: easy networking setup that can fit any network scenario (stand-alone, with / without firewall, etc.).
- Easy installation: thanks to the AGS Service Console, all installation issues and activities can be covered in few hours instead of days.
- Hyper-V allowscustomization of the exact layout of Unified Communications services needed by the client, avoiding system overloads.
- Security is supported from a local firewall.
- Advanced routing can allow setup in any existing network.
- Hardware configuration with separated physical storage for online data and backup, as well as redundant power supply.
- Remote support tools used for remote access are protected by SSL connections.
- Etc.
boxedUC architecture is fully supported for two significant reasons:
- Hardware models are designed and certified for Windows 2008 R2.
- All software is supported in Windows 2008 R2 virtualized environments.
